    R' Binyamin Aaron Solnick
    (died 1620) was a disciple of the Re’Mah and the Ma’HarShaL. He was one of the greatest poskim of his era and corresponded extensively with the other great rabbinical leaders of his period including the Se’Mah, Levush and Ma’HaRaM Lublin.

    Printed on the title page “By the grace of our beloved King Louis XVI of France”. This is crossed out, presumably in the spirit of the French Revolution.

    R' Shmuel Yitzchok Hillman
    (1868-1953), was born in Kovno, Lithuania and received Semicha from the ADERES, R. Refoel Shapiro, R. Meir Simcha, and the RIDVAZ. In 1897, he was appointed Rov of Barzin. In 1908, he was appointed as Rov in Glasgow Scotland, where he founded a Beis Din. In 1914, he was appointed as a Dayan in the London Beis Din. In 1934, he settled in Yerusholayim where he co-founded Yeshivas Ohel Torah together with his son-in-law R. Yitzchok Eisek HaLevy Herzog, where many outstanding Talmidei Chachomim studied. He authored the Ohr HaYoshor series on Shas and other topics.
