This large 24 x 17 inch document  is dated 1744  and is for the sale of a plantation containing 520 acres for one thousand and ninety pounds current money of SC and is situated in Colleton County, SC on the Edisto River.  It is being sold by Henry & William Livingston to Dr. George Mitchell of Colleton County.  This property later became part of Hope Plantation on the Edisto River near Jacksonboro, SC.   It is in good condition for its age and has some splitting on the fold lines but is still well intact and would look great framed.
